It took me almost 15 years to finally find the balance and the right foods for my body.
Hi! I’m Lennis, a food and wellness coach and I help women find the right food and wellness strategies that work for them so they can feel energized, healthy and live the lifestyle they want.
Let me backtrack a bit and tell you my story.
At age 18 I was suffering from high cholesterol.
By 19, I was diagnosed with H. Pylori – a bacteria that affects your stomach and is known for causing stomach ulcers and could potentially lead to cancer if left unattended.
For the next decade after my diagnosis, I was trying to eat healthy, but will often fall off the wagon.
I saw a dietitian, who gave me a meal plan for a week. I would stick to it until I felt better, then went back to my old habits.
Little by little I realized that my health was getting too much in the way of my life.
Like you, I didn’t have the help I needed.
I had to figure it out on my own.
I had to learn so much about my body, about cooking, about what I liked and what I didn’t like to eat.
I wish I had someone to help me get into healthy habits, who would hold me accountable to make that lifestyle change and achieving the overall wellness I wanted.
This is why I created Cook Dance Love Live.
Through the years I created the habit of cooking and found that spending time in the kitchen actually settled my anxieties.
I also knew that being active was a big part of being healthy and feeling great, so dancing took center stage in my life for a few years.
After many years, I finally discovered the fire that drives me and learned to love myself.
I found the confidence that tells me I’m doing well and I am living the life of my dreams because I am here.

I’m a self-made home chef! And Arepas are my specialty.
Fun fact: I was born and raised in Venezuela and moved to the US when I was 17 years old.
I am actually a chemical engineer and graduated with my Masters in Engineering from Manhattan College. I came from an engineering family, so it made sense for me as a young teenager to follow that career path.
After a divorce and being laid-off I took some time off to invest it on myself. This was the time I finally made me a priority!
I dug deep and discovered my passions.
I love hiking on the weekends, visiting national parks and traveling whenever is possible. And when I travel, I love learning about different cultures, especially through food.

Fun fact #2: I have videos on my channel in both English and Spanish and have been told that Spanish was not my first language because on some of the videos I was so nervous I actually have a strange Spanish accent!
